I must admit during our long adjournment I've taken to drinking Beefeater regularly when micro-managing bartenders in commercial settings. At home we've settled on Damrak, Zuidan and the pick-of-the-month, which this month is something called "Right" a new expensive gin that is quite good and really not worth the expense. Last night I had my original Bombay Sapphire martini as in days of old and and find it less-than-a-Beefeater, shall we say.

In other news I've taken to using Lillet Blanc instead of Vermouth, and it does modify the taste profile rather than "soften" the gin as vermouth is more likely to do. Knocked the angostura bitters back to about 4 drops. That's this weeks advances.
